prenatal yoga

At The WOMB Milton, our prenatal yoga classes are designed for expectant mothers at every stage of pregnancy, from the first trimester through to your final weeks. Led by certified prenatal yoga instructors, each class combines trimester-appropriate movement with breathwork, relaxation, and the kind of community that makes the whole journey feel less daunting.

Whether you're managing back pain, preparing your body for labour, or simply looking for a welcoming space in Milton to connect with other mums-to-be, our classes meet you exactly where you are.

What you’ll work on in every class

Prenatal yoga offers numerous benefits to expectant mothers, including:

  • Poses and sequences adapted to where you are in your pregnancy, so nothing ever feels forced or unsafe.

  • Techniques to reduce stress, quiet the mind, and build a deeper connection with your changing body.

  • Gentle exercises to build strength and control, supporting both your pregnancy and your postpartum recovery.

  • Targeted stretches for the discomforts that show up most in the second and third trimester.

  • Small class sizes mean you'll actually get to know the other mums in the room. Many of our prenatal yoga clients become each other's postpartum support network.

Your Questions, Answered

IS PRENATAL YOGA SAFE IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER?

1

Yes — our classes welcome expectant mothers from their first trimester onward. Our instructors are trained to offer safe modifications at every stage, and we always recommend letting your instructor know how far along you are at the start of class.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE TO JOIN?

2

Not at all. The majority of our prenatal yoga students come in with little or no yoga background. Classes are designed to be accessible, and your instructor will guide you through every movement.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

3

A water bottle and comfortable clothing you can move in. We provide mats and props. If you have a pregnancy pillow you love, feel free to bring it.

HOW OFTEN ARE CLASSES HELD IN MILTON?

4

We run regular prenatal yoga sessions throughout the week at our Milton studio. Check our workshops and classes page for the current schedule and to register.

CAN I CONTINUE PRENATAL YOGA INTO MY
THIRD TRIMESTER?

5

Absolutely. In fact, many clients find the third trimester is when they benefit most — the breathwork and positions learned in class are directly applicable to labour. Always check with your care provider if you have any specific concerns
